This is a pretty good site although in beta. It is pretty simple. You type in someone’s twitter handle and you can see the basic info like the number of followers, who they are following, recent hashtags, recent topics they have tweeted, among other things. It also shows geographical information of up to 500 followers.
So when you get someone that follows you, and you are a tad creeped out, you can just head to this site and check them out. Then you can see their friends, conversation and other things that may help you make that choice if you want to follow them or not.
