Kindle For BlackBerry: A Must Have

Amazon.com has released its new, free Kindle for BlackBerry. This gives you instant access to 400,000 digital books for its Kindle e-reader. No more trips to the book store.
I am not much of a book reader simply because of my lack of organization when it comes to the last page I was on or losing my bookmark. This app has the great function of adding a "mobile bookmark" for people like me. When you return to the app, there it is, the last page you were on. A must for the Kindle app is to make sure you have an Amazon.com account set up. The buying process of this application is second to none. With the "Buy Now With 1-Click" option is great. It is as simple as it says: One click, your book is available. It will automatically bill the payment information you have saved on your online Amazon.com account.
Some people might be thinking how it might be difficult for some readers to see the font on a screen that is smaller compared to a normal book. It is nice to have the option to make the font size as big or as small as you would like it. Great for any reader with any vision type. Another great option is the "sample" option. If you are not sure about buying a book, you have an option to "try it before you buy it." It gives you a small portion of the book to read. If it does not peak your interest, no harm no foul. Choose delete from the menu and it is removed. The home page of the Kindle app gives you options to choose for books to look at if you do not have something in mind. You can browse books by category, New York Times Best Seller list, Kindle Top Sellers, New & Noteworthy Book and they even compile a "recommended for you" list. The only downside I see to this app is that if you are charging your BlackBerry via PC, you must unplug it to read the book. Other than that, this app is a must get. And why not, its free! "Since the launch of our popular Kindle for iPhone app last year, customers have been asking us to bring a similar experience to the BlackBerry, and we are thrilled to make it available today," said Ian Freed, Amazon's vice president for Kindle work. Thanks, Amazon for knowing us BlackBerry users need love too.
