For those of you who don't have the BlackBerry Torch 9800  yet  to experience the new  os6 handheld software, don't feel too down about it.  With this os6 theme it should take some of your anxiety away. This is a very nice Storm theme!  It's also available for other BlackBerry device as well.

Hedone Design OS6 Like theme

So yesterday after it was mentioned, " BlackBerry Torch 9800 themes are not available yet",  look what appears today This kind of looks like theme studio 6.0 (or whatever the heck they are calling it). I saw this in a tweet from @rezn.

We shall see if this is the real deal or just a great photoshop.

We are still waiting for the new Theme Studio. Sorry folks but no Torch themes yet!

While its been just a few weeks now and everyone is excited about their new BlackBerry 9800 Torch, we share the feelings and are anxiously awaiting for the New Torch Theme Studio to be released. The release of the Theme Studio is to be expected before or during the 2010 BlackBerry development conference.  We are hoping that RIM will release it before then. We can't wait to see the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 themes!

Well if you're like us, you'll probably just keeping switch out your 9700 Themes on your BlackBerry Bold 9700 until Torch themes become available.  We STILL LOVE the BlackBerry 9700 Bold.

I am super excited about this BlackBerry 9700 Theme from Phantom!  This premium BlackBerry theme will definitely light up the eyes of any ladies that are addicted to all things Chanel.  6 mini icons, and a clickable clock make the home screen very efficient and productive, but make no mistake the Chanel Logo is the star of this show!  The application screen is very clean and crisp, with icons that blend perfectly with the theme.  That being said though; unlike lots of themes where the icons match the scenery, it still looks good when you start mixing in your 3rd party application icons as well.  I have saved the best for last though!  Easily my favorite feature of this theme is that the Chanel Logo does not go away when you change your wallpaper!  so you can change the background to pink or green or whatever color you  wish.  Simply an outstanding theme. I mentioned in the last review of having fat thumbs (they are supposed to be fat), and using a touch screen could be difficult, but using the DROID X made it all good, BUT now , I’m all touchy feely with the buttons on the Droid 2,  I know I gotta progress.

While first looks at the Droid 2, its sleek curved silver shine leaves you with a modern age feel (the whole chrome thing) I like that. Now what do I compare it to? The saying, there is the teacher than the pupil; the pupil has now become the teacher, HELLO! The Droid 2 now boasts a 1 Gig processor, 8 Gig internal, 8 Gig storage card, not the previous teacher Droid was shabby, but what would you have a 16 mg desktop or a 1 Gig phone that’s faster than your work computer, thank you.

“Won’t cha loosen up my buttons”, oh gotta love that song and the buttons on Droid 2. No longer flat buttons but raised so that you can get your touchy feely on, and know for a fact … “yep I hit the J button and not the K”, but I will say, I had to roll my finger top of the key board to get the other numbers and letters, (Not a deal breaker for button lovers). It no longer does it have the little gold pad on the side (sorry, I have no idea what that was).

The real hotness is the HOTSPOT that is created, and I gotta give this 2 thumbs up  to Verizon, and the processor in the phone. I shut off my wi-fi and said “if they are good it will work”, and it did. I got a full 5 bars people. The download on music was good and speedy, but downloading a movie kinda pulled a little( but what are you doing watching movies on your computer, I said “step your tech game up” didn’t I ?)

The Droid 2 does not leave the teacher totally behind, it still holds on to the 5mp camera and video is still of so-so quality. What I really, really found nice are the audio features. Being a Dj ,I love it when I can get my bump on (PUR-800 ear buds) and have loads of listening ambiance, you can customize or go with the standard.

NO, I didn’t forget just saving the best for last… LOADED are all the candy sweet software: Android 2.2 , Swype, Voice Recognition (I love it, love it), Google Maps, Amazon Kindle wait for it… wait for it…FLASH SUPPORT… and you thought Snickers was packed, child please.  There is still so much to this phone.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a HDMI, but still you can’t lose if you’re upgrading your phone from the Droid (the train is leaving people). Guest review by Donald Wilson of Effective Dezign
