i have had so much trouble with the desktop software.

as of now i got it to work, but now i have no idea where the "media manager " is. can anyone help, im trying to upload music. i know i can do it by email, but as much as we pay for these beauties, we want em to work eh?

any thoughts are appreciated!

p.s. i have the newest manager 4.3

I just turn on mass storage mode and drag and drop. By far the easiest way to get things done.

you may have to break it down for me. i was dragging and dropping but when i went into the mgr, i would go to "media manager"

i dont see that on the new one so i dont see how i can upload songs, only themes.

i believe that when you use the mass storage, there will be an icon on your desk top where you can drag and drop, i dont think you have to actually open the DM.

If you have media manager it will be listed in your programs menu from widows and your Desktop software. Try this with the Desktop software showing connected look for media manager under windows by choosing start, programs, and look for media manager listed there. Click on it and it should connect outside of the BB desktop software. If you recently upgraded your Desktop software you may have chosen the one without media manager.

When you connect your BB to your pc, your bb will ask you if you want to enable "mass storage mode". Answer "yes". Click "my computer" on your pc, and you'll see your C drive, and whatever other drives you have on your computer. You'll also see a drive labled "removable drive "X"" where "X" will be whatever letter is available to your computer, it may be "d" it may be "j" or anything in-between. Don't get hung up on what letter it shows, just double click that new drive and you'll see a folder labeled "Blackberry". Double click that and you'll see 4 folders, one of them being "Music". Drag and drop your music to that folder. When you're all done, back out to "my computer", right click that drive that you were working in and click "eject" or "safely remove" (whichever it says) and you'll be all set.

ok...lots of problems here... first off when i connect it my bb says nothing of the sort, i remember it asking me about the mass storage thing a while ago but not this time.

second, i have no "removable drive", only disk.

and third, it WAS missing because i dloaded the one without media manager, but the roxio gives me an error message everytime. no one else has had a problem?

I know it's a pain but can you download Desktop Software with Media Player?

go to options>media card>enable mass storage mode when connected: (change this option to "prompt")>menu button>save

NOW connect your bb and try it again
