Call Log Being Deleted

Hello All,

I ahve a BB Curve 8310, and it has started deleting my call log randomly. Does anyone know how to stop that from happening?

I have a BB Pearl and it is doing the same thing. Mine does call logs and messages.

there is another thread about this one. Basically, if you don't delete your emails, text, mms messages and have alot of other stuff installed like themes, programs, games etc, the BB will delete them for you.

Having a memory card for the pics is a big help but if you never delete any of your messages/emails, the bb will do it for you.

Best practice is to keep up with deleting non essential messages.

i have an 8130 and it does the same thing. messages and call log erased!

This happens to me also...usually after a program updates, or I plug into to charge, or I remove the battery, or plug in to pc to update. I have not seen it do this other times. I also noticed it has done it more often when the battery was low.

This is called a Memory Leak.

Basically you have too many applicaitons/themes/messages left on your device.

Whenever new items come in...your BB deletes messages/logs that it feels is not necessary.

Per a T-Mobile Tech (he did this last week for my wife..) Press ALT LGLG, this bring sup the events log. Delete everything in the log. Then do a hard reset of the device (battery pull)...this should stop it from happening.

Also..if you have your messages kept to "Keep Forever"...change it..to something more conservative..like 15 days. If the message is REAL important, mark it as saved.

i called At&t about that, they said its the new firmware or whatever, BB autoupdates itself, the lady told me that, it deletes "non-important" things first
i.e. call log pix messages and old emails
