AS this is a thread for OS vs. 4.5 has anyone hear when Blackberry will be releasing it? I thought it was suppose to be available by now. Also will 4.5 be available for all versions of Curve or just the later models (i.e. 8310 and on)?

The old release date was april 9th I think? Obviously they have postponed that to a later date that has not been announced..

i bought a used 8320 curve and it already has the 4.5 installed...i believe its a beta version cause it won't let me use my aim.
it keeps sayin that service not enabled for this handheld.
if you have a better version of this please PM me with it.

cause i am thinking about bringing it back down to the original OS software for it so everything will be functional on my bb..

Is this Trackball color mod only for 8310s and above or does it work on the 8300? I thought you could not color mod the Curves only the Pearl.

Well, if the 8300 can be color modded, where do you get the mod information.

As you stated, the beta version is way to buggy for me!!

Well i can just give you a quick run-down of what to do.

1. Take silver ring off
2. trackball piece will kinda of fall out, or just use a paper clip to just pry it out.
3. scotch tape
4. color the scotch tape with sharpie of color desired
5. cut the tape into a small square to fit inside
6. trackball assembly back in
7. silver ring

Just be careful with everything, there delicate.
