yah, there is a good thread in here on how to do it. it's a physical mod, not a software mod

Thanks for the info. I am familiar with the physical mod, but was just wishing there was a software fix for this. It appears that there is not going to be a software fix like the Pearl.

I think the pearl comes with 4 colored led's, and Curve just one

RAPIDSHARE....arghhhhh....I also hate it. It is nothing but trouble for me when I use it. I either set off my virus program or get annoying popups or the program locks up my computer.

I do not like or trust RAPIDSHARE.

I would like to warn anyone that is interested in the the beta version of the new software::: please be ready to restore your bb to the 4.3 os when 4.5 crashes. To do so follow these steps.
1)Uninstall version 4.5 from your desktop, re-install v4.2 to your desktop
2)Open bb desktop manager without your battery in your phone.
3) Open the application loader and select load previous apps in software.
3) After the jvm loading portion is complete, insert your battery without disconnecting your phone.

PLEASE BACKUP A VERSION OF 4.3 BEFORE INSTALLING 4.5

I don't understand why RIM won't release the official release date for the new OS?
