got it installed on my secondary Curve. Did I miss something or is there no spreadsheet support in the Documents to Go?

you didnt miss anything, it is doc and powerpoint on the standard version from my understanding. You have to pay for premium

I'm currently running .18 on my 8310

I love the the new OS! The video recording is sweet! One of my biggest petpieves was my old Razr could record video, but my brandnew BlackBerry™ couldn't??

I know it's still in beta, but I've got a few glitches that I've been trying to work out??

1- my battery drains 4 times faster! I could take pictures and view photos, all day long, and get online, have my phone on vibrate, send and receive texts all day, and I could go without charging for a couple three four days. Now even in idle my phone dies every single night, I go to work around 9am, by 11pm my phone is completely drained!! I have the cover that puts my phone in standby and keylock, but still doesn't make a change??

2- the OS uses 3/4 of my device memory! I've talked to some other people about it and they said it should only be somewhere about a 1/4 bigger then the old system, I've uninstalled and put it back to 4.2 and tried a different 4.5 beta, but still my phone is cramed!!
- makes bootup slow
- takes forever to process my memory card
- have to cleaning out my log files to save space

3- my phone keeps wanting to save picture and all types of media to my device! I'll set the default save location to my memory card, but every time I take a picture it'll keep saving to my phone??

4- DocumentToGo only installs as trail version. But that's becuase DocumentsToGo isn't fully released or done either, that should be released when the full OS is released.
- they give you WordToGo, and PowerpointGo
- it doesn't let you create a new document or powerpoint slide until you but the fullversion (aka, wait until the new OS is released) they should also have the spreadsheet program as well.

5- my backlight dimming, and keyboard backlight gets reals screwy??

- I pull my phone out of my houlster and my backlight is full, and my keyboard is fully lit, wait about 10 seconds and my backlight dims out, keyboard shuts off, then in about 5 seconds the screen light comes back on and the keyboard won't light up, all this happend when I'm using and showing activity??
- (while I've written this whole post, I stopped counting the number of times that my keyboard has shutoff and my screen has dimmed??)

A suggestion that I was told what was happening, was that my phone is constantly powering my camera, and auto dimming my screen and keyboard due to the level of light around me?? In a dark place it'll stay lit, stand outside goes out...?? Tried all that... Still inconsistant?? and that, that is also why my phone dies so quick??

Eventhough I have some quirks, I still love it! :-)

- when I click my side button to activate my camera, I can then click the menu key and go down and select Video Camera and start recording on the fly, and once I'm done rcording, go right back to my camera
- Web Browser rocks! Haven't ran into too many sites that everything doesn't display or work!
- YouTube!!! Go right to youtube, and play any video, opens in the BB Media player. Only drawback:
- when I first read about 4.3 (4.5) I understood it to be that the new OS would support flash media, thinking anu site with flash would work with the phone?... What realy it is:
- Just YouTube! Not that there are too many video's out on the net that isn't on YouTube... Sorry for people wanting to get on YouPorn :-)

All and all, CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FULL RELEASE!!!

I am using .37, i get at a minimum of 2 days before even thinking of recharging. Over 20MB free with a few apps installed. Files save to the mediacard without a problem also.

4- DocumentToGo only installs as trail version
I "think" you will have to buy the upgrade to Pro to get anymore features out of it. Mine isnt a trial version, it is Std.

5- my backlight dimming, and keyboard backlight gets reals screwy??
I get this also, hoping the final fixes it.

I don't bother with youtube on the blackberry, since i am hardly ever too far from a PC. So i cannot comment on that. My one huge gripe would be not having html email. I am also hearing that, when the final version is released, there will only be html email on BES not BIS so i will have to live without it or "buy" bbsmart or empower to get it.

I am little confused about what exactly v 4.5 beta has to offer.

I am running 4.3.0.127, I can display you tube video with no problems, the web browser is enhanced and much faster than 4.2.1. I can display all types of basic attachments, XL, power points(without animation) Doc, and of course pdfs. The email interface is supposed to be improved but without HML support that is just cosmetic. I understand that it is supposed to address memory leak, but I have yet to see any good reason to try the beta. Can anyone let me know if I am missing something?

Thanks

There is no 4.3 release for our Curves so I think you have some of the improvements that we don't. You might better just wait as i doubt you will see much difference. Just email, phone, basic web browsing is all I use mine for so someone who uses their BB for more than I use mine might have another opinion.

I think you're right. All of the things people are commenting on seem to be present on my new courve. So I will not be installing the beta version of 4.5 until I hear otherwise. It's hard to believe Verizon would be one of the firsts at anything.
