Chunk of wallpaper missing?

Okay, I've downloaded some themes, love'm, but want to change the wallpaper. When I go ahead and set a picture as the homescreen, it actually chops off the top portion while keeping the top bit of the old picture. Uhm, what? Why? How can I fix this? :/
