Plazmic for Windows 2000 Home

I know that Plazmic has min operating system of Windows Vista and Windows XP/2000 Professional. My question is, can Plazmic be made to run on the home editions of Windows XP/2000? I have a BB8310 and would like to contribute themes to this great site but I don't want to spring for Vista (until I'm ready to purchase a new computer). I keep getting a GUI error message when I try to run Plazmic.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
