question about pearl and curve

I am not sure if this is the place to post this or not and if it has to be moved it is fine. I am with verizon, I needed a new phone so I made the move to the blackberry. I choose a pearl, although I really wanted something with a bigger screen and the full keyboard. I also wanted something with a camera. So this is the choice I had. I asked them if they might be getting something anytime soon that would be more what I wanted and they said no. Then I see an advertisement for the curve. I was upset and I wanted one. So i go to verizon and they say there is nothing they can do for me that if I want the curve I am going to have to pay full retail price on it. My question is, is the curve really worth paying the full retail or should I just suck it up and stick with the pearl. I also like the bigger screen as well. ANy thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
