I'm trying my best to figure out Paint Shop Pro & GIMP. I'm nowhere near proficient with either program. What I'm trying to do is create icons for a theme I'm working to create. What I'm wanting to do is take a normal .GIF file and "erase" the background. In other words, make the background transparent. I'm getting so frustrated trying to figure out how to do this with either/both programs! I hope I'm explaining what I'm trying to do properly. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP! If anyone could give my step by step directions on how to do this, I would GREATLY appreciate it! This is driving me out of my mind!:hail:
