Help with zip files

I found a theme and it was a fip. I managed to extract it and put it on my computer however when i went to the blackberry desktop manager to add the file it kept sayin "error no additional applications designed for your device were found". I have run out of options. What exactly are the steps to add a zip file? and y is the blackberry messenger not picking up the file?

If this can be answered it would be much appreciated...
