Help please?!?!?

OK, recently everytime I install a theme (.alx) on my phone or my husband's we are unable to see our text messages. We get the notifier that we have a new message, but whenever we go into the messages, they aren't there, and like on the today themes, they don't show up on the main screen. HELPPPPPP!!

ALSO...

Whenever I try exporting my theme as .jad I can never find it... How can I successfully export a .jad file???
