Pretty sure GPS is free to use, but you have to have data to access the maps, just like how the GPS is on your 8310

tahts what im saying. i have att and do not pay the extra 7 a month to use the gps software on my 8310. so i was wondering if find it uses it too and if i would get charged for it. i have data plan tho.

no you will not the data plan is all you need to access the maps
the gps you are referring to is at&t's own gps software
the actual gps satellites can be a accessed for free by anyyone:)

This application is pretty cool but I think I still prefer LiveSearch. Check it out:

Live Search Mobile (http://livesearchmobile.com)
