Some of y'all know me from the other site, and know I am decent with pasting people's heads on celebrity bodies, comic book heroes, and even small furry rodents (you asked for it Reno). But when it comes to theming, I'm as dumb as they come. For instance, I was playing with the "Tab Focus" that comes preloaded on plazmic. I wanted to make the highlight green instead of yellow, and transparent through the middle horizontally. So I opened the image in Corel Paint Shop Pro 11 (I know, I'm the only person on the PLANET using it) and changed the fill to what I wanted. However, when I saved the image as a .png, the transparent area turned white. Me no likey. Anyway, my reason for posting was to ask, plead to, and beg those of you who know what you're doing, to put together an idiot's guide to doing what you do. Pull an element from a popular theme, (an icon, banner, background) and pick it apart. Show me how you turned a blank selection into a tribal dragon, or a chromed alarm clock, or how you added a glow to an icon. Take your pick and do what's fun for you. I just wanna learn. Thanks folks.
