For people who need an industrial strength protection for their Blackberry I highly recommend the Otter Box case. See the link below. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Ok, I got shieldzone and it works pretty well but there are pros and cons.

Pros:
It obviously protects my screen from further scratching
Covers up minor scratches nicely and removes LCD "rainbow" effect
Can't see it at all and stays on permanently

Cons:
Screen has that "orange peel" finish to it, bumpy.
Squeaky noise when berry is up to my ear (this is minor, from the plastic rubbing my ear)

Overall I think it is definately a must have, but I thought I would mention the cons. Also, I am kind of a perfectionist so others may not notice above mentioned cons.

Now I feel kinda cheap. I bought a pack of 12 universal screen protectors off ebay for $7.44 (including shipping). I put one on my BB, 2-razr's, I860, ipod, xm radio & a LG slide. Still have about 6 left. Cant tell there are even on there. Everybody needs screen protectors of some kind on their phone. Definetly worth whatever you pay.

The ones on Invisible Shield, formerly Shieldzone are awesome.

I just went out to best buy and bought some Palm Pilot universal screen protectors.......cut them to fit my palm pilot, ipod, and the BB. They work great. Got 12 for like 8 bucks or sumthin like that.

Thanks for the info on invisibleshield. It looks good but am concerned about the texture that one reply mentioned. Anybody else with recommendations about invisibleshield?

Another option is to pick up a pack of screen protectors. Awhile ago, I picked up a pack of these at Staples. They were made by PalmOne and included 13 2.5 in x 3.5 in protectors, a cleaning cloth and application card. They have done a great job and I have used them for multiple cell phones in the family, iPods and pda's. It is a less expensive alternative and gives you flexibility to cover many different objects vs. getting one just made for your BB. The negatives would be that it is not covering your whole device (like the InvisibleShield) and you need to cut the shapes to fit your object. I usually take the plastic screen covering that comes with it and use this to trace.

Lastly, I saw another site where some users recommended the following:
Best Skins Ever Home Page (http://www.bestskinsever.com)
They offer screen skins and full body skins for many BB models and are reasonably priced. Anybody have experience with this and other recommendations?

I recently purchased the Best Skins Ever full body shield and LOVE it. It's so much cheaper than the Invishield and pretty much the same thing. I might even like them better. They are a little thinner and less "gummy" which I like. The application was easier too. Shipping was also very fast.
