Well I hope it keeps on being ok, I have mine backed up on my PC also. Do you know if it backs up themes to? Also, how do you do a soft reset is that the same as a battery pull or is it different, I keep trying to figure out if there is a way to reboot the BB without pulling the battery, so far I have not found one. If i turn it off and back on that doesn't really reboot it, so I have been taking out the battery to reboot. Anyway I hope your pearl stays good!

The program to simulate the battery pull is called "SoftReset" available for free (donations encouraged) from the guys at geek and proud (there are links on this site for it, I'd post it if I weren't posting from my BB), anyway, do a quick search for soft reset and you'll find the link. Hope that helps.

Thanks mom! (Why do I keep hearing "wondertwin powers, unite!" In the back of my head?)

Thanks! I had another quick question, how do you know if a application on the BB is safe to delete, there are a few I don't use, is it ok to delete as long as its not a core application or something? I don't want to mess up my BB, thanks!

I noticed this with mine when I first got it... I downloaded the update and it has helped considerably.

was it a new OS or just an update to the current OS?

I have had the same problems with my call log being erased....I think there is something called soft reset or something that will reset your phone without actually having to pull your battery

Yeah, there is a link for it in the applications section of the forums. I downloaded it, it's really helpful especially since I have a silicone case on mine so now I don't need to pull that off and pull the battery out to reset.

I free'd up a lot of memory on my pearl by uninstalling some of the extra language options that i did not need.

It must have freed up about 10mb or so, and moving all my ringtones to my memory card helped alot.

I just updated from 4.2.0 to 4.2.1 so hopefully i dont have any memory leak issues. /pray.
