Hallo,

I searched around on the forums and I couldn't find an answer to my question so I am hoping that someone can help.

I just got a BB Pearl and I own a Mac. I downloaded the program Missing Sync for Blackberry so I can at least sync my calendar and address book and such (a friend of mine recommended it since the disc that came with my BB doesn't work). Is there any way I can enjoy all the goodies from this site despite the fact that I don't have this Desktop Manager thingy? I can't seem to figure it out and it doesn't help that I'm technologically challenged... I want fun themes and ringtones too. :(

PS - I'm in Ontario on TELUS if that makes any sort of difference...

I don't much about a mac, but if you want to download a ringtone or theme for your 8100 you can download them ota..that does not require the DM software.

Download PocketMac SynManager. It's for the Mac platform. Does most of what the Desktop Manager does. It will load all your goodies for you.

Or look for ota links, they install directly from your BB's web browser.

PocketMac is great for syncing, but it won't load apps to the 'Berry. Need to borrow a PC, or to find OTA for this. This is the first time I've been happy to use Vista at work!

Found that it will indeed load apps (see below). Edited here so as not to confuse other punters. s

Yeah that program is the best it actually works the same way as the PC version of the Desktop manager. I never have a problem on it
