So,
I just got off the phone with a tmobile blackberry/pda service rep
and to transfer contacts from one blackberry to another. doesn't matter
what model apparently.
All you need to do is
1. Attach your phone via the USB cable it came with to your PC.
2. Open up the desktop manager(if you haven't already installed it. do so.)
3. Go to the Backup and restore icon and open it.
3. When the backup/restore screen opens. Hit the backup option and follow the directions there.
4. Disconnect the old device, and attach the new device via the USB cable.
5. Then with your new device, Hit the restore option in the backup/restore window and follow whatever instructions there.
6. Disconnect your new device and you should be all set.
hope that helps anyone who was confused over this.
thread can be stuck for easier of a find..
