I'Ve noticed alot of the ringtones on here have alot of bass still in them. This is not god for the tiny speakers in our phones. Most of the ringtones you download are not properly formatted for a cell phone and can cause alot of crackling if turned up to the loudest setting. I hate that personally. there are lots of programs out ther to make ringtones, personally i use wavepad (WavePad Masters Edition ([Only registered and activated users can see links])) and im sure other programs have basically the same features. but what you wanna do is load your song into your program in this case wavepad. once you have edited the song or sound or whatever you have to what you want your ringtone to be...click on effects and normalize...set that to 80 or 85...i prefer to use 80. once that is done then go and click effects again and click the high pass filter...you weanna set this to roughly between 160 and 200Hz...i keep it a lil closer to 200 (higher the number the less bass)...it works fine for all the ringtones i make. then click ok and you have a perfectly edited ringtone for a cell phone speaker. play around with those numbers and some of the effects but this is how i make every ringtone and they are excellent sound quality...this only works for some songs...there are some out there that dont really make a difference whether you normalize them or not...give me some feedback on this...tell me what yall think...hopefully everyone understands what to do if not let me know:peace:
