Instructions for installing OTA (Over-The-Air) files without a Data Plan
Download the jad/jar file to your PC.
Connect your Blackberry to your PC.
Enable Mass Storage Mode
Connect your blackberry to Desktop Manager
Open your Media Manager application in Desktop Manager
In the right hand window make a new folder in My Blackberry/Device Memory/Themes
Using the right side of your media manager copy your .jad/.jar files into the folder.
Open the Media application on the blackberry
press the left button next to the trackball
Click explore
Scroll down to Device Memory
press the left button next to the trackball
Click Open
Scroll down to your /Themes Folder
press the left button next to the trackball
Click Open
Select the .jad/.jar file
Select "Download"
The Application will install on your blackberry.
Note:
You can also do this without using the Desktop Manager by enabling Mass Storage device and clicking on your Media Cards Drive letter and creating the new Folder on the Media Card and placing the files in the folder as instructed above. Unplug the Phone and go thru the same instructions above. The Desktop Manager is only an option.
