PocketMac does not have a Backup wizard or a backup option in the same sense as the PC version of the Desktop Manager does.

After looking around I did find a a way to restore data and also transfer data from phone to phone.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.2 (Leopard) with PocketMac version 4.0.20b

Here are the two phones I used to test this out.

1. TMO 8100 O.S 4.2.0.64
2. Sprint 8130 O.S 4.3.0.71

Phone 1 has been Sync'd using PocketMac to include - AddressBook (Contacts), iCal (Calendar), Mail (OSX Mail), Bookmarks (Safari).

Phone 2 has never been connected to my Mac.

I connected phone 2 and enabled Mass Storage mode then sync'd each of those items phone 1 has been sync'd with. The data was transfered to the new phone (phone 2) with no problems.

Both phones have the same Data as each other and the same Data as the Mac. Essentially I just switched devices. Data on any external media card would not apply because all a person would have to do is remove the card from one phone and place it into the new phone or mount the Drive and transfer Data from one drive to the other like you would any other time.

The Backup and Restore tool shown below in the screen shot appears to do the same. It does not take the PIN number or phones Operating System information along with it.

Unless I'm missing something it does the same thing as the Backup/Restore does on the PC side using the Desktop Manager but just in a different way. I'm sure the Backup/Restore carriers over additional Data I'm forgetting about since i have not used it or that feature in awhile but for the most part I think most people would be more interested in the Data listed above.
