uploading movies?

I have converted a few new release movies and have them in zip files to upload, however when I try to upload a attachment it takes forever and will not finish. I have emailed file to friends, and they have downloaded and unziped and transfered with media manager, or memory card... and they work

I would like to upload to site, any help or suggestions would be great
