I preffer the Zen, but I think the themes (factory) that make the 6th icon for apps instead of being changeable is nuts! I usually hit the menu key for all icons so I don't need that!

Zen is for sure my fav!! Being able to have the background you want and the 5 most used icons is perfect

i found a zen+ theme that was the zen theme and today theme merged together. it was awesome but my bb craped out and i had to reload. now it is gone. it got it from bbextras.com but they don't do themes anymore. anyone know how to get it. it had the today style and zen icons all on front screen. roll left and messages,calendar, call log shows....roll right and zen list of 6 icons shows..

At first I only liked the Icon layout, but then started to like the Today themes. I didn't like Zen themes initially because I thought the icons were unmovable. I just found out that they can be rearranged, which has greatly improved my opinion of Zen themes.

I personally feel it really depends on the theme. Some just seem more suited for one layout over another. The new L-theme layout seems promising. It would also be nice to see more customization options for Today themes (either post release or via theme generators).
