why does my mp3 ringtone start seconds after the screen displays a call

whenever I receive a call, I would see a notification on the screen and then a couple of seconds later, the ringtone plays....

If I set it to vibrate and ring, vibrate will kick in for a sec or two before the music...

Is there a way to fix this?
