Maybe you can install again your BB operating system software.
Since they are specific for the mobile carriers, it may help you.

There are several post explaining how to do that. You must install the latest version of the Desktop manager and the latest BB internal software. Then you can use JL Cmdr to wipe out the device. On the first time you connect your BB, it will install the operating system. Do a backup first.

In my case didn't help, because it was really a faulty unit. This new one is working like a charm.

Or, you can contact your carrier, but for my experience they normally are not very experts. They just read to you the FAQ.

all this info has been really helpful. thanks guys.

im a newbie to the blackberry as well and there is one thing that i cannot for the life of me figure out...

i have a Blackberry Curve 8310 and i've set up my email account. i want to seperate my SMS messages from my email ones and when i choose the option to "Seperate" it leaves the email messages in the message folder and my SMS messages disappear. How can I seperate my messages and see my SMS messages when I open the messages folder?

i guess it is just the theme that the phone was set too. i haven't changed it because i don't know how yet. i've only had the phone for two days and this is driving me crazy!

Check the icons, it looks a lot like an email icon depending on the theme. Roll over them and read name of each and see if it shows somewhere.

It is the AT&T theme. does the theme affect whether i can see my SMS messages or email messages in the message folder, though?

I am not sure if it affects whether or not you can see it. It definitely affects the style of the icon and where it might be.

i can find my message folder but the issue i'm having is within the message folder.

i want to separate the email and SMS messages but when i do my SMS messages disappear and i want the SMS messages to be the primary messages i see when i open the message folder. do you know if that is possible?

When you separate the messages, it should create a sep icon on the wallpaper. Instead of opening the messages folder, use the ball to find each icon and one should be labeled SMS. If you can find it, you can move it to the top corner so it is your first icon.

First, try hilighting each icon on the wallpaper and see if you can find it.
