Im new here and don't know much about my phone. I just purchased my phone and since Im still within my 30 days to return or exchange I was wondering if there is any significant differences between the 8130 and the 8830 the salesman basically said only the camera seperated the two, but there has to be more than that. Does anyone know?

other than size, camera, keyboard type the only other differences i can think of is probably price and tethered modem capability. Which basically means the 8830 can be hooked up to a laptop and used as a modem. Personal preference really but I do like the Pearl alot.

O and if you travel out of the country any and your phone company doesnt normally work out there the 8830 is the world edition and you can put a sim card in it.

Just got my 8130 a few days ago. Went to Sprint store to compare the 2 and besides being able to use worldwide, the 8830 is just too big. Love this 8130.

I just got my Pearl coming form an 8703e, which although bigger than the 8830, had a full keyboard and no camera. I was concerned about giving up the full QWERTY, but now I wouldn't go back for anything. I love the 8130. The predictive text took a week or so to work out the kinks and to adjust, but it was well worth it.
