How are you? Ok, I have put in all my addresses, and loaded a ton of ringtones, and a few themes. I also have softreset. So now I try to use it, and I get " uncaught exception:java.lang.IllegalArgumentException." Now after this I only have the option to hit ok. And it will not reset. Any thoughts? Or any answers? I thank you all in a head of time. Take care

You can do a soft reset by pressing Alt-Caps-Delete at once and the BB will do a soft reset. This is just like Control-Alt-Delete in PC, but better because it does a soft reset and no option. Works great for me when I have memory leak issue.

I have the soft reset program, I have not had any issues, I tried the alt-caps-delete thing and that didn't work, I can't think of any suggestions other than deleting it and trying to re-download it.

I thank you guys for your help. My Control alt del is not doing it. I pulled the battery out and put it back in. I went through option/advan opt/ appl/ modules/ and deleted the uninstall of the softreset. That is what it told me to do. I don't know what it was, or how it got there. But that seemed to of fixed it, and now it resets just like it did. Thank you guys. Take care

Sorry guys...I did not realize that 81xx soft reset is not alt-cap-del. This only works for 83xx (curve). Should have seen the Blackberry model in your profiles. Sorry again :-(

The soft reset app is really the way to go. The bat pull was such a pain because of having a silcone skin or other protective device that covers the entire phone.
It's a FREE app and totally worth it. :)

So having a soft reset saves the trouble of pulling the battery out? Can you use the soft reset button instead of pulling the battery when downloading a new theme?
