Hi all! I just received my BB Curve 8310 titanium today, and so far I am loving it..........

Just 2 quick questions that my service provider has no answer to...

On my old phone(razor) I could bluetooth almost any file to other peoples phones, and also from their phones to mine. I have paired up 5 different phones to my BB today and when I try to send a file to the BB it says "Service Not supported" (on the phone im using to send the file)

Does anyone know why?

Also, when I ran the setup wizard, it doesn't give me the option in the "email" section to choose personal....the only options are the business one and skip.

Welcome to the addiction! Your name isn't Carlton is it, I might know your cousin Will ;)

To answer your questions:

What type of file were you trying to send? There are some limitations.

You should see a "set up internet email" icon, use that to set up your email push. Hope that helps.

CBanks,

When you are getting ready to send via Bluetooth, hit your application button on your BB and get the menu to pop up. Go to Receive using Bluetooth and select that option. Let us know if this does not work.

Have a great time with your new phone!

I see no options for Receive Using Bluetooth on any app.....maybe im just retarded and looking over it

Hello, I have the 8310 as well. I happen to work for a small Cellular company (not to be named at this time) and we have been selling the BB's for a few months and I have actually had this 8310 for close to 9 months. I work in the Tech Support department and we get to test some phones before we sell them. I have an early model and it does not ask for me to receive using bluetooth but the batches that we are selling now are. It seems crazy that you have to make the phone ready to receive a bluetooth ring tone or Pic.
The instruction posted previously are right and you should be able to et your items.

OK, go to your Media Icon on your BB. Enter it so you can see your Music, Video, Ringtones and pics icon. Now click the application button just left of the trackball. This will show you the option to receive using bluetooth. (make sure bluetooth is enabled just to speed up the process, otherwise it will ask you to turn it on etc... either way it will work).

Now click receive using bluetooth on your BB and send via bluetooth from your old phone. Make sure to save it in the correct spot to find it later. You can save on your phone's memory or on your memory card. I save on the memory card to keep my phone from getting loaded up.

Let us know if that helps.
