Bluetooth problems

my BB does not connect to any other bluetooth device? sometimes it would connect but it wont let me receive anything from other cellphones... does everyone elses do that too or is it just mine? and how do i fix it?

yeah i have an 8100 does anyone know how to fix the bluetooth for it

I have the same problem. I have an 8310 and it recognizes other phones to bluetooth but I can't receive anything.

The question may already be answered, but you have to set your phone to 'receive using bluetooth' before you can receive a file.

when your trying to receive files that way you have to do every time you do it...it opens the phone to get the file

Yes you have to manually click on 'receive using bluetooth' all the time when you like to receive file. Basically even if your BB has a device as a trusted device it still doesnt open the port for file transfers. File transfer ports are only opened at your command which is even better because there are some windows mobile devices out there which can add a trusted device and then later on they can explore all your files which is shady.

Are you trying to send receive Media i.e. ringtones, pics etc?

I tried to send a video i put on my phone to a friend via bluetooth and it would not let me transfer it. was that due to size? are there limits to transfers? I was able to transfer the ringtone just to make sure it worked and it did.
