I'm new to BB so ...

I am new to the whole BB experience. I have been using media manager - clumsily at best. What I've found is that when I added my ringtones from my pc to the BB, they are now showing up twice in my choice list when I go to assign them to a contact. When I go back into the media manager folder, there's only one set. Is there a folder somewhere I don't know about? and how do I get there? Thanks:confused:

they could be stored on the phone as well as on the media card..

thanks. I ended up stumbling over them when I was searching through the media folder and that was exactly what had happened. Oddly, they didn't want to completely delete. I deleted them all and then had to pop out the battery to get the ghost names to disappear. Weird.

when i sve ringtones I put them in my phone memory, not on the media card. It seems to work better to segregate them like that. when youre dragging down files to the BB, click on blackberry, this will open up four folders-music, videos, ringtones and camera. Click on ringtones and drag down from your PC folder to that folder. Works for me. All other media, pics, vids, songs I store on my SD card.
