How do I send a contact?

Is there anyway I can send a contact via sms without having to copy the number and then paste it in the sms page and then sending it?

The only way I know is....

go to the contact
click menu
scroll down to send as attachment

that is only for the contact to be sent by email. I am looking to send the same by sms... is there any way for me to do so?
