Blackberry 8800 freeze

I am having a problem with my BB 8800. When I download a new theme or application my BB restarts. When it finishes the BB is frozen. The cursor will not move. At this point I have to turn it off and back on and I am back in action. Now I also have an SD card. When I pull the SD card out and do the download it will restart with no problem. Any suggestions?

Your bb should reboot after a theme/app install. Mine takes a good 5 minutes to fully shut down and come back up...are you giving it time to run its course?

I thought I was. I will give it 5 minutes next time and see if it comes back on its own.
