Hey guys.
My fiancé's 8130 has been acting up lately. We purchased our phones at the same time around the end of January. About 2 weeks after getting them, his started having issues holding a charge. It will charge up just fine, but the charge (charged overnight, around 7-8 hours and was fully discharged/recharged after we bought them new) will only hold for around 6 hours. However, that's not the biggest issue.
We sometimes have problems with BlackBerry Messenger -- messages don't get through to the other end. Usually, powering off and back on will refresh the connection and all will be well, but just yesterday he sent me a message... when I replied, the "checkmark" showed up, but I never got a "D" or "R". Same thing a few hours later when I sent him another message.
We tried it out that night while we were in the same room, with great connections on both phones... except his displays "1x" and mine says "1xEV". Checked his connection settings, made sure they were the same as mine, powered both phones off and then on at the same time. Nothing.
He can send me SMS, but when I send to him, he receives nothing. He can call me, but I can't call him (it rings on my end, but no ringing on his).
Any idea how to fix this? We are going to bring the phones to Telus later today to see what they can do, but this seems to be odd behaviour on a brand new phone.
