GPS tracker

I have 8310 curve and love it; its has GPS, but I would like to utilize my curve to track my mileage when I run and walk my dogs. Would prefer a free application, but wouldnt mind paying a minimal initial fee for the app. Does anyone know of anything or used a tracker for this purpose ? Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
