Search the Forums Before you ask a question, search the forums to see if your question has previously been asked (and answered). There’s a wealth of Blackberry information already in the forums, and the chances are good that your question has already been answered.

Post in the Correct Forum For example, if you just got your new BlackBerry BOLD, and want a new theme, please do not post in any other section but the Theme Request Forum for that particular phone. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with our forums. If in doubt, just ask. Our Moderators and Admins are real people just like you, and they’re happy to jump in and give you a hand whenever needed!

Use a Descriptive Title Make it easier for everyone by providing a descriptive title. "Please help!" and "I have a problem" are poorly worded titles and are NOT allowed. Instead, describe your question or problem in the title, like "What is AT&T's APN setting?" or "How do I add a theme to my Blackberry?." This makes it easier for people with the answers to find your post and provide an answer. Warning, and second offense will warrant a 1 infraction point for 1 month

PM's and Emails When posting in a thread DO NOT ask the member to PM you or EMAIL you for the answer or for more info, if you don't want to answer the question then don't. We have plenty of members who will, which in turn helps other members with the same issue. Warning, second offense will warrant a 2 point infraction for 3 months

Provide Details When you have a question or need help, the more detail your provide, the better someone will be able to help. Your Blackberry Operating System (OS) version), 3rd party software version, Blackberry device model, and Network Carrier are some useful details. Mainly, you should provide the details necessary for someone else to reproduce your problem.

Make relevant, meaningful posts Every post on Themes4BB.com should add some sort of value to the forum, whether through technical value or community value. Threads and posts that do not further the BlackBerry community will be locked or deleted at the discretion of the Moderators. For example replying to a days, weeks or months old thread posted by a new member with a reply of "Welcome to Themes4BB.com!" serves no benefit to the forum. However, replying to old technical threads or other BlackBerry related threads with updated or additional info is not only welcomed but encouraged. Keep in mind the value of each post before posting.

Thread/Post Bumping- IS not allowed in the forum. The only time bumping a post is allowed is if your question in any informational forum hasn't been answered after a week from the date posted. OR your theme request hasn't been answered in 2 weeks. Bumping before time allowed will result in a 2pt infraction up to 30dys

Cross posting Do not post your question in multiple forums. Warning, second offense will warrant in a 2 point infraction which stays on record for 1 month

Double posting Double posting is not allowed and can result in the deletion of one or both posts. Double posting is defined as posting the same information in two or more separate forums. We understand that some topics might fit into more than one forum. Please try to pick the best one. In addition, please do not post in the same thread back to back (another version of double posting), if you have something more to add, edit your post, don't post twice in a row in a thread. Warning, second offense will warrant a 2 point infraction which will stay on record for 1 month

Images If you need to share an image to clarify a problem or explain a solution, you can attach or link to an image in your post. Please keep the image size down to no more than 520 pixels in width and 600 pixels in height; this helps viewers running at lower resolutions see things properly.

Use Color and Fonts Sparingly Resist the urge to get artistic, and use colors and fonts sparingly, usually to emphasize a small piece of text in your entire post. Do not change the color or font of your entire post or there's a good chance a moderator will change it back. We've chose the default font and colors to make it easily readable for everyone; please respect those choices.

Respect Your Fellow Members Themes4BB is a community of people who share a common interest in Blackberry devices. There are newbies and experts; developers and casual users; young and old; all kinds of people participate in our forums. Everyone brings something unique to the forums (yes, even you!). Your personality, experience and self-expression add dimension and make the forums an interesting and useful place. Be yourself—but always remember to respect your fellow members. Be tolerant of those who disagree with your opinion and discuss differences in a constructive manner. Personal attacks will not be tolerated! Any personal attack by any member will receive a 6 point infraction and suspension from the site for 3 months

Illegal activities - Do not post, link, or request warez, serials, etc of any other copied intellectual property of others in the Themes4BB.com forum. We have a zero tolerance policy on such posts. Also ALL proven illegal activity will result in and automatic banning from all areas of Themes4BB.com! Any Illegal activity from a member will result in a permanent ban from this site

Foul language - Please keep posts and links family appropriate. Any member who uses foul language will result in a 6 point infraction and suspension from the site for 3 months

ALL CAPS abuse - Do not post new threads or replies in all caps. Use caps to stress areas within the body of your post but all caps should NOT be used for thread titles. The Moderation Team will delete such threads or posts. Warning, second offense will warrant a 1 infraction point for 1 month

No thread hijacking Hijacking a thread is taking a thread completely off subject from the initial purpose of the thread. Please give fellow members the respect of keeping their legitimate threads on topic. Warning, second offense will warrant a 1 infraction point for 1 month

Linking/SPAM Links to other sites are not only permitted, but encouraged! Linking is one the great things about the Internet (such as Blackberry.com). Just make sure the linked site does not contain pornography, warez or promote illegal activities, or we’ll delete it.Linking to competitor websites and other Blackberry forums is prohibited. Although we do link to other Blackberry websites and forums we only link to those sites with mutual respect and linkage. Any member who post spam will get a 6 point infraction and suspension from the site for 3 months or a permanent ban from the site

Linking your THEME SITE If linking to your personal theme site from T4BB please make sure you link back to themes4bb.com from within your site, some where, where it's visible, it's called pay it forward, you MUST have a reciprocal link back to our site if you wish to share yours with our members, we will check if you have such link, if not your link will be deleted without question or reason. I will however PM you asking that you share our site link on your site as a friendly reminder. There is more info below under the "Theme Developers" tab.

Promoting your own BB Forum IS PROHIBITED! Though we'd like to allow this, we find members directing our members to their BB forum to download a theme that was posted and shared @ T4BB and the catch is you have to register meaning they get more members in hopes of their forum growing thus is considered a competition BB site. Asking members to PM you for the link is prohibited, PM'ing members with the link is PROHIBITED! If you want to share your theme share we appreciate it, if you feel this is unjust then don't, our members shouldn't have to register on another BB forum to get OTA links or ZIP files of a theme shared here @ T4BB (We encourage members to report any member that is directing you to their BB forum to download themes. THIS DOES not count for BLOG SITES that are just sharing themes! (Only forums which require registration and forum participation) We consider this self promoting and competition to our site, which is also posted above in the (Linking/SPAM section) Any member caught doing this will receive a written warning the first time, second time 2pt infraction for 30dys, anytime there after will result in a permanent ban from the site

In Closing This document acts as guidelines for both our users and our Moderation Team. We cannot imagine every circumstance however, and thus we reserve the right to change these rules, remove/edit posts, and ban users at our discretion with or without reason. Personal Theme Site Links- If you plan on sharing your site here with us @ T4BB please return the favor by adding our link to your site. We find it only fair if you're getting members to your site, that we in turn deserve the right to get any peoples that might be looking for BB info to come to our site. Anyone not following this guideline will be given a warning and are expected to either link back or remove their signature if you're not willing to do so in the said above, second warning will result in a 2pt infraction (30 days), and you wil no longer be able to share you site here with us. Posting A Theme- please put a proper title not "My First Theme" or "New" Put the title of what you named your theme, this helps members searching for that specific theme much easier, otherwise your theme will not show up in a search. ~ty

Any theme made that is licensed to www.clc.com with be DELETED a.s.a.p without reason

If you're wondering if your collegiate theme is associated, go to www.clc.com under clients

1. Dimension themes are not installed such as in Zen, Today or Icon. These are the default themes that came w/your phone.

2. The theme isn't for your OS, it needs to be for your current or earlier software. example OS 4.2 won't work with a 4.5 theme

3. IT policy restrictions, if your phone is through a company/buisness they might not allow 3rd party applications downloads.

4. You didn't pull the battery after download

5. Not enough memory

6. If you're getting the theme by zip, your OS isn't downloaded to your computer and you're getting the error "No application found for your device"

(If it's still not there, do a battery pull)

OTA's are meant to be download via your bb's internet browser, once in the browser find the thread the theme is in and click the OTA link, download will begin (data plan required)

If you get an error of "No applications were found for your device"First make sure theme is for your OS, Second make sure you've download your phone's OS to your computer this way the DM picks up your phone. You can get this either by going to your providers website or blackberry.com Also uninstall any previous OS you may have installed on your computer by going to add/remove programs
